David Cassuto is the founder of Physical Therapy Services of Westchester, LLC. He has his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy and is a Strength Conditioning Specialist. His clinical expertise is in orthopedic/sports injuries and neurological disorders.
What distinguishes David from other clinicians is his knowledge and experience as a competitive track and field athlete. While running for the University of Houston he trained and competed with Olympic Medalists Carl Lewis, Leroy Burrell, Joe DeLoach, and Kirk Baptist. He is also a year 23 (and counting) member of the medical staff of Penn Relays, one of the oldest and most prestigious track meets in the country. David was the physical therapist at the 2000 USA Olympic Track & Field Trails for the Santa Monica Track Club. He has also been a guest lecturer at the New York City Marathon representing the American Medical Sports Association in 2001. In his lectures, David covers material on injury prevention and returning to running following injury.
David began his career in 1996 where he worked at the Center for Sports and Osteopathic Medicine in New York City. David is trained in Muscle Energy techniques and Strain/Counterstain. He has significant post-graduate training in manual therapy and orthopedics sports medicine. After spending 5 years working and developing his own style he opened up Physical Therapy Services of Westchester, LLC specializing in orthopedic/sports injuries and neurological disorders. David continues to specialize in speed/sports performance and injury prevention as well as treating chronic and acute injuries.
David is a professor of Exercise Science and Human Health and Wellness at Manhatanville College in Purchase, NY.
Aside from practicing physical therapy David is a sailor, pilot and scuba diver. David also was Commander of the Greenwich Sail & Power Squadron for 3 consecutive terms. He is married to his wife Wendi and they have 2 teenage children Sarah and Jordan. They enjoy traveling, sailing, and flying. David is very active coaching his kids sports teams.
